Microchip's series of microcontrollers offer many useful on chip peripherals together with very low power requirements.

We commonly use Microchip PIC Micro-controllers in low power applications and to reduce component count on printed circuit boards providing defined facilities at low cost e.g. complex waveform generation, protocol conversion
